Smart HVAC Choices for Businesses

When deciding to add or improve your Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system, oftentimes there are too many choices to make. One of the most common commercial HVAC choices is the type of HVAC system that you want to install.

Here are 4 of the most common commercial HVAC systems:

Single Split System

The single split system pairs one small office or café or similar small location with a single exterior unit. If your business needs expanded capability, larger or more capable exterior units can be added.

Multi-Split System

The multi-split system is built so that multiple units in a building are connected to a single exterior unit or a bank of exterior units. This allows you to have different units at different temperatures, which is very useful for large buildings or buildings with different needs per location.

VRF or VRV System

A Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) or Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) system relies upon one or more evaporators connecting to a single condensing unit.

VAV or CAV System

Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems are an on-demand system that only runs the fans and air conditioning systems when the room needs to be cooled, saving power and wear-and-tear on the system. A Constant Air Volume (CAV) system runs continuously, ensuring that the room remains at a consistent temperature at the cost of the system continuously running.

Warehouse owners, we haven’t forgotten about you!

Additional options for your new HVAC system may include:

Industrial Box Fans

These large fans allow for greater air circulation and are often portable, providing warehouse owners with the ability to direct airflow as needed.

Evaporative Coolers

These coolers use fans to draw hot air across water, cooling the air through evaporation. By positioning these coolers where needed, specific cooling needs can be addressed.

The choices you have for your business HVAC needs are varied but don’t forget about other options such as air filtration or HVAC installation.
